The Viva is a nice compact car but some people feel it is a jut a bit too bare.

For those who love the Viva's small size and nippiness in town, they can now order a Luxe version, complete with chrome grille, new sculpted bonnet, revised ffrotn and rear bumpers, side skirts and new fabric interior.

It also gets a new radio with CD player that can read MP3 and WMA formats.

Owners are turned into Mini Ambassadors through positive experience at Proton

It is a simple enough plan, invite owners to the plant to receive their cars, give them a tour of the facilities and let them loose for an hour or so on the test track and impress them with the skills of Proton test drivers in a Lotus Elise.

Hopefully they leave impressed and share the positive experience with their family, friends and neighbours.

If the initial reaction of the first group of customers is anything to go by, the plan seems to be working a treat
